PELHAM OAKS PHYSICAL EDUCATION

The Pelham Oaks Physical Education program is based upon the belief that all students can find joy in movement and recognizes this movement as the foundation for engaging in regular and purposeful physical activity. The mission of the Pelham Oaks Elementary Physical Education Program is to empower all students by educating minds, developing healthy bodies, and fostering positive attitudes towards a lifetime of physical activity. As respectful and responsible leaders, students will treat others with kindness, work cooperatively, and be proactive with thoughts and actions. Students will use determination and resiliency to reach their goals and discover their true potential.

About Our Program

Developing physically literate students

Our program is based on state and national standards with the goals of educating minds, developing healthy bodies, and promoting positive attitudes towards lifetime physical activity and fitness. Through the use of technology and innovative teaching practices our program provides students with a rich and diverse learning environment where all students find success.  We always encourage both staff and students to grow, learn and create each passing day.

Our program also promotes physical activity before, during and after-school and encourages faculty and staff wellness.
